Refund & Cancellation Policy - Patagona en Ruta

Tourism Agency in Chilean Patagonia

1. Reservations

  • Reservations are confirmed upon receipt of a deposit or full payment.
  • The following information is required: full name, nationality, identification document/passport, service date, and contact details.
  • Confirmation is sent via email or WhatsApp.

         

2. Payments

  •  We accept bank transfers, credit/debit cards, and online payment platforms.
  • Rates are expressed in CLP or USD.
  • Any international transaction fees are the responsibility of the passenger.
  • The remaining balance must be paid prior to the start of the tour.

3. Cancellations 

  • More than 30 days in advance: 100% refund (minus banking fees).
  • 29 to 15 days in advance: 50% refund.
  • 14 to 7 days in advance: 25% refund.
  • Less than 7 days in advance: no refund.

Third-party services (accommodation, navigation/boat tours, transportation, entrance fees, etc.) are governed by the individual policies of each provider.

4. Cancellations Due to Weather or Safety

  • Weather conditions in Patagonia are extreme and unpredictable.
  • If a tour is suspended, we will offer rescheduling or a refund based on expenses already incurred.
  • The decision will be made by the guide or the operational team.

 

5. Accommodation and Navigation Services

  • Patagona en Ruta acts as an intermediary.
  • Hotels and navigation services (Grey, Balmaceda–Serrano, etc.) apply their own cancellation, refund, and no-show policies.
  • Any changes are subject to the provider’s availability and regulations.

           

6. Itinerary Modifications

  • Itineraries may be adjusted due to weather conditions, trail closures, CONAF regulations, road blockages, or force majeure.
  • Equivalent alternatives will always be offered.

 

7. Torres del Paine and CONAF Regulations

  • All trails and access points operate in accordance with current CONAF regulations.
  • If a trail or area is closed, the activity cannot be carried out.
  • All official instructions must be followed.

 

8. Mobile Phone Signal

  • Within Torres del Paine National Park, there is no mobile phone signal or mobile internet access.
  • Schedules and meeting points must be strictly respected.

 

9. Passenger Responsibility

  • Following the guide’s instructions.
  • Informing the agency of any relevant health conditions.
  • Wearing appropriate clothing (see recommendations).
  • Taking care of the environment and not leaving litter.
  • The agency is not responsible for lost personal belongings or incidents resulting from failure to follow instructions.

 

10. Clothing Recommendations

  • Waterproof jacket.
  • Thermal and fleece clothing.
  • High-ankle trekking boots.
  • Hat, gloves, and sun protection
  • Small backpack + water.
  • Rain gear or spare clothing for wet weather.

 

11. Minors

  • Minors under 18 years of age must travel accompanied by an adult.
  • Some tours may have restrictions for safety reasons.

 

12. Insurance

  • We recommend having travel insurance.
  • Some tours include basic insurance coverage.

         

13. No-Show Policy

  • If the passenger fails to arrive at the scheduled time, no refund will be issued.

           

14. Use of Image

  • Photographs or videos taken during the activity may be used for promotional purposes, unless the passenger notifies otherwise in advance.

         

15. Environmental Commitment

  • Do not leave litter.
  • Do not feed wildlife.
  • Respect trails and park regulations.
  • We promote sustainable and responsible tourism.
